I have tested AVG9 on my amd64x with 4gb and it slowed it to a crawl the hdd was accessed all the time by avgsa.exe reinstalled 8.5 and very fast again. So tried on my other desktop with xp same thing. i have now tested it on Vista And win7 works fine on these oss so if you have xp id stay clear of Ver 9 I am currently testing fprot and avast.

I was using AVG 8.5 on my Dell Windows XP, I upgraded 9.0 as was suggested...... that meant I need to purchase it in order to keep it. It has slowed my computer down until I was about ready to throw it out, until I hear it has happened to SEVERAL people who is now using it....... is it because I did not purchase it
